Aloha! first of all, I thank you for your time and wanting to learn more about me.
I'm a very simple girl. From a very small town on the Island of Kaua'i. 10 minutes inland from Kapa'a and you'll find yourself in my home town of Wailua Homesteads. It's beyond beautiful and a very special place. I value friendships that last forever, treating everyone with respect, fairness and equality, humbling yourself on a daily basis and being thankful for each day.
"I'm a Hawai'i based wedding and portrait photographer. My work is most inspired by nature, bright bold colors, beautiful textures and genuine moments. My artistic style is a balance between documenting candid moments and creating romantic portraiture, with an emphasis on natural light . My creativity thrives in the unexpected and non-traditional places. I believe hair should blow in the wind and your legs covered in sand"
My interest in photography began in college as a hobby. Then in 2010 I realized that it was going to be my lifelong career. So, in typical Megan fashion, I knew I needed to learn all I could about photography. I uprooted my Kaua'i roots and moved to San Francisco. I spent 3 intense years earning my MFA (Masters of Fine Arts) Degree in Photography from The Academy of Art University.

I approach each wedding with one all encompassing goal. I want your wedding photos to be accurate to your story, your style and your moments. No two weddings are alike and my work is an honest reflection of YOUR day. Whether it's an intimate elopement or a large gathering your photographs will be a reflection of who you are.
Having been born and raised on Kauai, a UH Manoa alumni, and currently a Maui resident, I work EXCLUSIVELY in the beautiful state of Hawai'i. Hawai'i is my home and I feel a deep connection to it's places, people and traditions. When I am alone deep in the Kaua'i mountains or hearing the strength of the wind high atop ocean cliffs, I feel it's energy, it's history and the people who came before. There is no other place like Hawai'i.
Thank you for reading this and learning more about me.
